This means that as of 2007, Neues Jahrbuch für Geologie und Paläontologie is published as a single, unified journal of Earth Sciences.

As of volume 243 (2007) the printed format is enlarged to sub A4, (8.5x11"), in order to improve the reproduction of maps, cross-sections and other illustration materials.
